Boss SX700: A Ideal 1-U Rack Multi-effect Processor, Capable Of Professional- Grade Effects

Boss has been in the manufacturing of various effect processors in lots of forms since last decade, beginning from those 'stomp boxes", then Micro Racks to more recently these multi-effect processors, SE70 & se50.

Each button in the top row is attached to single effector. Beginning from the left to the right, there's EQ, Reverb, Mod, Delay & the RSS.

The SX700 is stationed in 1U rackmount type case. The layout of panel in the front is same as Boss's latest GX700 guitar effect processor.
The left side of the gizmo has rotary controls used for adjusting the output & input levels. On the right side is LCD display(2x16 character). Here you will notice separate rows having switches which are illuminated; the buttons in bottom row are used for navigation of menu pages of SX700 & has Write & Exit buttons.

The panel at the back has, true stereo in & out, standard three MIDI sockets & control pedal sockets, an expression pedal & a bypass switch. There is a separate switch for adjusting the input & output operation level in the range of +4db & -20db.

Towards the right side of the main switches is present a knowledge entry know, having parameters select buttons below. The switch is  smooth & is in-fact is sensitive to velocity. This feature lets you speedily skip the delay of time section, straight to about a second's delay with quick knob turn. However, not again turning this knob slowly at same degree would lead to producing less manipulation in the worth of parameters. Now, on the far right side of the panel on the front you will notice Utility, power & Bypass switches.

The unit makes use of the outside source of power supply for its operation.
The effectors in the SX700 have been chained together in various orders & configurations in amongst the 19 preset chains to generate patches. However there is now way to generate your own chains & the presets present in the technique can only be used to put the effectors together.

Each of the patch can have upto effectors working simultaneously, however you can have effector from each walking at a time. Like, you cannot run flanger & harmonizer simultaneously or phasing & chorus simultaneously.
